Who We Are

Step 11 is a worship center designed to bring together those of us who are 12-steppers, including family members and friends, who have worked beyond steps 1-10 and are now seeking ways to improve other areas of life using 12-Step principles.

Though we may have overcome our addictions, we may still be struggling in our jobs, our finances, our relationships, and our health. These are the areas of focus at Step 11. We use 12-step principles, concepts and terminology in the Sunday message, as well as in our classes, workshops, and study groups, to help our members use their 12-Step spirituality to overcome all of life's challenges.

An added benefit at Step 11 is the availablity of two licensed, ordained ministers with 60+ years of 12-Step recovery between them, for spiritual support, weddings, blessing ceremonies, memorials, and the like. Step 11 is also a way for 12-Steppers to enjoy celebrating inter-faith holidays together in a spiritual, non-religious manner.

What We Teach

We encourage you to bring your own concepts of God. Our role is to help you use your beliefs to increase your faith and better the areas of your life where you still struggle. Therefore, we leave specific ideas and beliefs about God to be determined by you, and we, instead, focus our teaching on spiritual practices that lead you to experience God's power in your jobs, finances, relationships, and health.

We utilize The Big Book and diverse forms of Spiritual Literature in our Sunday messages and study groups, including the Bible, the Talmud, the Bahagavad Gita, and the Eightfold Path of Buddhism, to name a few. We also draw from Modern Wisdom, such as A Course In Miracles, and other inspiring spiritual works. Our interpretations of stories, phrases, words, characters, names and concepts are for purposes of inspiration only, and to strengthen our personal relationship with God.
